Alex has trained me on the small sail boats at Fairwind Yacht Club three times. He is kind and patient when instructing. He has a way of making you feel comfortable, relaxed, and successful. You can truly see his professional teaching skills come through in his instruction. He is positive and builds on the skills being taught with optimism. He gives positive reinforcement for skills done well. I highly recommend Alex as an outstanding sailing instructor.

A training session with Alex is an experience in natural learning. He has a way of identifying all the important aspects of sailing as to make you aware and considerate of those aspects. In a few words, he has a smooth way of making you care about what you are doing. What better understanding of being out on the water in all kinds of situations, than to care about all that matters. I think of Alex who believes in the best of excellent seamanship, and then gently pulls you into it.
